(honda) is recalling certain model year 2008 pilot vehicles. upon deployment of the driver side frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to rupture.Consequencs: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver side frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking and potentially seriously injuring the vehicle occupants.Notes: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver side frontal air bag inflator in all affected vehicles, free of charge. the manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. owners may contact honda customer service at 1-800-999-1009. note: this recall is an expansion of recall 14v-351.

Consequencs: If the stitching is incomplete or missing, the seatbelt may detach from the anchor webbing, increasing the risk of personal injury in a crash.Notes: Honda dealers will conduct a specialized inspection of the driver and front passenger seatbelts, and if necessary, replace the seatbelts, free of charge. the safety recall began on october 5, 2011. owners may contact honda automobile customer service at 1-800-999-1009.
